Banderas Bay, where protected waters clash with the open ocean and world class fishing sites abound.  A mecca for large marine life, it is no wonder why the Punta de Mita area has boasted record breaking catches of sail fish, mahi-mahi, blue and black marlin, yellow fin tuna, roosterfish, and giant dog tooth snapper.
